The Omaha Public Power District's Jones Street Station has evolved in many ways since its erection on the Missouri River near the foot of Jones Street in the 1880s.In 1904, the first steam turbine driven generator was installed in the Jones Street station.Over the years, the 125.2 MW plant's electric generating facilities have been revamped to meet air quality standards.
