OPPD operates four base-load plants that generate electricity on a full-time basis. They are North Omaha Station, Fort Calhoun Station, Nebraska City Station and Elk City Station.
OPPD also has three peaking stations that are used to supplement power needs as needed. In addition, OPPD has agreements with Flat Water Wind Farm and the Nebraska Public Power District for purchase of wind energy.
