Fred Ulrich brings an agricultural perspective to the Omaha Public Power District. The Chairman of the Board is a farmer and cattle feeder based out of Louisville, Nebraska.
Mr. Ulrich’s affiliations include:
- Producers Livestock Marketing Association Board of Directors
- Producers Livestock Credit Corporation
- American Legion
- Knights of Columbus
- 4-H leader for the Bridle and Saddle 4-H Club
His past roles include Cass County Planning and Zoning Commission member and Parish Council of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Mr. Ulrich was selected as the Jaycee Farmer of the Year (1982) and the recipient of the Young Farmer Conservation Award from the Lower Platte South Natural Resource District and Lincoln Chamber of Commerce (1983).
Mr. Ulrich has previously served as Chairman of the OPPD Board of Directors, Vice Chair as well as Treasurer and Secretary. He has a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He’s a proud father of four, with eight grandchildren.
