Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer
Edward E. Easterlin joined OPPD in January 2009 after being appointed to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Treasurer/Assistant Secretary in November 2008. He oversees Corporate Auditing, Finance, Corporate Accounting, and Planning & Budgeting Services.
Before coming to OPPD, Mr. Easterlin worked seven years for Colorado Springs Utilities, where he had served as Chief Planning and Finance Officer since May 2005. He also had served as General Manager of Financial Services and General Manager of Financial and Accounting Management.
Mr. Easterlin’s experience spans 30 years in the utility business, including more than two decades of increasing financial responsibility and nearly 10 years in operations.
He served for nearly 20 years at South Carolina Public Service Authority, Santee Cooper, producer of about 40 percent of the electricity generated in South Carolina. Previously, he was a Nuclear Chemistry Specialist for three years at Duke Power Company.
While residing in Colorado Springs, Mr. Easterlin served on the Board of Directors of Silver Key Senior Services, Citizens Option to Provide Energy, and the Public Authority for Colorado Energy. He also served as a parent volunteer for several youth sports organizations.
Mr. Easterlin holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in business administration from Charleston Southern University. In addition, he holds an associate’s degree in chemical and nuclear engineering from Trident Technical College.
He and his wife, Ann, have two children.
