Chief Financial Officer
Edward E. Easterlin joined OPPD in January 2009 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He oversees Corporate Auditing, Finance, Corporate Accounting, Business Planning & Analysis, Enterprise Risk Management, and Corporate Project Management.
Before coming to OPPD, Mr. Easterlin worked seven years for Colorado Springs Utilities, where he had served as Chief Planning and Finance Officer since May 2005. He also had served as General Manager of Financial Services and General Manager of Financial and Accounting Management.
Mr. Easterlin’s experience spans 34 years in the utility business, including more than two decades of increasing financial responsibility and nearly nine years in operations.
He served for nearly 20 years at South Carolina Public Service Authority, Santee Cooper. Previously, he was a Nuclear Chemistry Specialist for three years at Duke Power Company.
Mr. Easterlin holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in business administration from Charleston Southern University. In addition, he holds an associate’s degree in chemical and nuclear engineering from Trident Technical College. He is a 2010 graduate of the Reactor Technology Course for Utility Executives at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering and the National Academy for Nuclear Training.
