Car Number: 167
Team 167 decided to completely tear down the car and start over with a bare frame
Team members: Andrew Brewer, Josh McClure & Alex Clayton
Accomplishments
Rack and pinion steering installed.
Tie-rods installed.
Wheels are on the car! They do need some adjusting, though.
Steering column bracket made.
Install POT
Obstacles
We had to re-mill the steering support bracket. I didn’t fit right the first time.
King pin bushings don’t fit in new king pin. (Opps, it’s already welded on the car)
Getting battery box in and out of car.

Our 2nd year car that we are trying to improve.

Accomplishments
Re-wire car, install new dead-man switch and brake light.
New tires on all three wheels.

Broke two chain repair tools.
To cover or not to cover the rear-end, that is the question. If we do cover it, what material will we use?

Car Number: 76
Our new car for 2010 competition season.
Team members: Shawnee Lines, Nicole Elsbury, Kevin Skalsky, Jon Brown, Ethan Baker & Richie Richardson
Accomplishments
Designed steering column so it will pivot upward for easy driver access.
Built the frame for a hinged hood that the steering column attaches to.
Forged a steering wheel out of aluminum.
Bent the floor board and rivet to bottom of car.
Build a frame for the rear-end cover

Obstacles
Getting the angle on the hood so it will bend open as far as possible.
Ordering a new motor or controller, supplier would not respond to e-mail or phone calls. Found a new supplier, and they are on order!
