Summary of this month’s accomplishments: We added wings, tried a new method for the brakes, steering system, frame is finished, and added tin on the sides, along with plastic. On the second vehicle, the frame is complete along with brakes, steering, adjusted the motor to fit better, and attached the seats and restraints.
Describe the state of completion of your vehicle: The wheels and frame are complete. The gas and brake pedals are on, along with the steering. One vehicle is operational and is able to be driven, while the other still needs wiring.
Did the accomplishments of this month meet the objectives of your work plan: Yes we have succeeded our expectations.
Identify specific problems, information of skills needed or help required: On one of the vehicles, we had welded the bars to hold the front steering and the spaced between the bars were to big to fit the bar wit the wheels off of it. We took more parts off and it fit. Other than the inconvenience of sum parts and tools there aren’t any other problems.
Identify where you plan to go get the information, skills, or help needed: We plan on asking how the teacher would set it up or even how it’s been doing the past few years. Also, asking a student in our class how he would set it up because he has been dealing with cars his whole life that compete.
Plans for next month: We need to get the body done on one car, along with the wiring and buttons to switch it on and off.
