 Omaha Public Power District's Economic Development team assists communities with economic development in a number of areas, including business recruitment, retention and expansion, industrial site evaluation, marketing, and strategic planning. Our partnership can provide guidance in creating a realistic vision for your community while offering motivation to identify resources and complete projects.

The Nebraska Diplomats recognized there was a minimum level of preparedness needed in order for all Nebraska communities to be successful. This recognition led to the creation of the Nebraska Certified Communities Program, of which OPPD is a supporter. Business Recruitment
Let OPPD help you prepare the materials you need to attract new business: community profiles, available industrial building and industrial site flyers and fact books about your community. OPPD's Economic Development team can provide cooperative marketing, target specific compatible industries, develop direct mail campaigns, conduct labor surveys and do project feasibility studies. OPPD can also help you prepare for a prospect visit by developing a local action team and coordinating mock prospect visits.
