Home Service Pre-Connect Policy

Contractors & electricians are reminded to please install slip risers into the meter sockets. This will help identify any footing issues before our crews arrive and it should help prevent delays in installing services by avoiding searching for the riser. OPPD will install risers in frost conditions.

OPPD also reminds contractors that we need a cable path that’s as clear as possible to install service cable in a timely manner. There have been some issues, such as high weeds, grass, debris piles and yard erosion that have slowed down the progress of OPPD crews. Tall weeds and grass make it difficult to properly backfill the trench.
