Standby Service - Rate 464

What is standby service?
Standby service applies to customers that normally supply their own electric needs, using OPPD only when their system is not operational. This does not apply to customers using their generation when OPPD’s system is unavailable. Standby service applies only to customers using OPPD as a backup power supply.

Why charge for standby service?
OPPD must build and maintain the facilities needed to supply power to these customers, even though they may never be used.

Standby Options
OPPD has several options available to standby customers. These offers vary based on the size of the standby load and the duration of OPPD power usage. Please contact an Account Executive for details about OPPD’s standby service options.
