Although publicly owned, OPPD maintains a business-managed attitude that welcomes the new opportunities provided by the changing electric marketplace. OPPD is headquartered in Omaha and serves more customers than any other utility in Nebraska. Our generation assets include coal-fired plants located in Omaha and Nebraska City, a nuclear-fueled plant located near Fort Calhoun, and several combustion turbines located throughout the metropolitan Omaha area. We have recently added a wind turbine and a landfill gas plant to our generation mix.
