OPPD offers a dusk to dawn lighting rate for private outdoor lighting. This rate is available to residential, commercial and industrial customers. These lights cannot be used on public or semi-public thoroughfares including public parks where they would conflict with a legally constituted public authority having jurisdiction.
OPPD owns and maintains these lamps. The charges on this rate reflect the cost to purchase the equipment, maintain the equipment, and the energy required by the equipment.
OPPD requires a minimum two-year contract for these lights. Early cancellation of the contract by the customer is subject to additional charges.
Monthly Charges:
$10.95 per unit for a 100 watt, 7,200 lumen high-pressure sodium luminaire
$10.95 per unit for a 175 watt, 7,000 lumen mercury-vapor luminaire (restricted)
$14.95 per unit for a 200 watt, 22,000 lumen high-pressure sodium luminaire
$14.95 per unit for a 400 watt, 20,000 lumen mercury-vapor luminaire (restricted).
The provisions of Rate Schedule No. 461 - Fuel and Purchased Power Adjustment apply to this schedule.
These prices assume operation as an existing extension of OPPD’s distribution system. Additional monthly charges apply if the lamp requires more equipment:
$3.61 for each additional transformer installed
$0.73 for each additional pole installed
$0.48 for each additional span of secondary conductors installed
