OPPD Diversity Advisory Council

OPPD employees work together to create an environment which enables them to value, respect and inspire each other to reach their full potential.

OPPD’s Diversity Advisory Council, made up of individuals from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and responsibilities, provides the leadership for this effort. OPPD senior management takes an active role in participating at council meetings. Council-sponsored activities have included monthly diversity displays, a diversity poster contest, improved job opportunities, and presentations by a diverse group of speakers and topics.

Each month the Diversity Advisory Council meets to discuss the schedule of activities for the month's diversity commemoration, share experiences and concerns, and work toward implementing recommendations approved by senior management. It is led by the diversity coordinator who facilitates the activities and reports successes and concerns with the council.
