Charles P. Moriarty joined OPPD in August 1967. He has held positions in the Customer Accounting, Corporate Communications, Planning, Fuels and Finance divisions, including several managerial positions in Finance. He was named division manager of Finance in 1994. In addition, he has held the corporate officer positions of assistant treasurer and assistant secretary.

Mr. Moriarty was promoted to chief financial officer and vice president in January 2006 and oversees Corporate Auditing, Finance, Corporate Accounting and Planning & Budgeting Services.

He belongs to Financial Executives International and is a past president of that organization. He is also a past president of the Greater Omaha Community Action Agency and serves with the scholarship committee of the Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska organization.

Mr. Moriarty holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a master's degree in business administration from Creighton University in Omaha. He is a U.S. military veteran, having served 15 months in Vietnam in 1968-1969.

A lifelong resident of Omaha, he and his wife Michele, have two children and three grandchildren.
