In March, OPPD planned for five in-person meetings throughout the service territory to share our “State of the Utility,” highlighting our accomplishments and plans for the future.
When COVID-19 impacted our community, we shifted to an online format. True to our core values, our focus is on providing customers with reliable electricity, ensuring all families can be safe at home and connected.

OPPD is committed to stakeholder outreach and meaningful ways for customers to provide feedback on many initiatives, including Power with Purpose: adding utility-scale solar with natural gas backup to our generation portfolio. Thank you for engaging with us along our Power with Purpose journey, which began in October 2019. This is a multi-phase project and OPPD will continue to engage customers and stakeholders along the way.
Power With Purpose
OPPD asked and received approval from the Board of Directors to negotiate and award Request for Proposals (RFP) for new utility-scale solar, modernized replacement and back-up natural gas assets, and voltage support devices.
In 2019, OPPD accepted public comment to gauge customer understanding of what we’re trying to solve, the framework that shapes our decisions and the clarity of the analysis. LEARN MORE
