Important updates as we prepare for the 2026 Business Rebate Program to reopen on January 1, 2026:
Key Reminders and Updates
- Program Reopening:
- No applications will be accepted until after January 1, 2026.
- The application portal will reopen January 1–10, 2026.
- No pre-approvals will be granted before January 1. No exceptions.
- Projects not requiring pre-approval must have invoices dated January 1, 2026 or later to qualify.
- Lighting Rebates Sunset (Effective January 1, 2027):
Rebates for lamps, fixtures and retrofits will be discontinued starting in 2027. Lighting Controls rebates will remain available. Custom/Unlisted lighting and LED strip lighting has been discontinued at of January 1, 2026 - Custom Project Requirements:
These have been further defined and will be detailed in the updated Terms & Conditions, which will be shared before January 1, 2026. - 2026 Budget Outlook:
The rebate budget will be similar to 2025, so we encourage early engagement as funding may be fully allocated quickly. - Additional Program Changes:

Trade Ally Action Items
- 2026 Trade Ally Agreement:
All active Trade Allies must sign and submit the new agreement by January 1, 2026. - New Trade Ally Training:
New Trade Allies must complete all requirements including training before January 1, 2026 to participate as soon as the program reopens.
Note: Not all 2026 program changes may be covered in the training. New TAs should review the updated Terms & Conditions once available. - Training for Existing Trade Allies:
Only new Trade Allies are required to complete full training. If any additional training is needed for existing Trade Allies, we will notify you soon so it can be completed before January 1.

Trade Ally Tier System
OPPD’s Trade Ally Tier System is designed to recognize and empower our valued partners in energy efficiency.
Trade Ally

- Basic Trade Ally Requirements PLUS:
- Completion of a minimum of 20 projects reaching "APPLICATION COMPLETED" status in the previous calendar year.
- Presence of a storefront or in-home office within OPPD Service Territory
- Demonstrated understanding of programs and independent application completion with an 80% approval rate.
- Written commitment to provide free, no-obligation audits and proposals to all OPPD customers upon request.
- Lead generation provided by OPPD.
- Seat in the Advisory Group
- 3% "Cashback" for each eligible application from January 1st to September 30th.

Trade Ally

- Basic Trade Ally Requirements PLUS:
- Completion of a minimum of 5 projects reaching "APPLICATION COMPLETED" status in previous calendar year.
- Presence of a storefront or in-home office within OPPD Service Territory.
- Demonstrated understanding of programs and independent application completion with an 80% approval rate.
- 1.5% rebate incentive for the organization based on eligible applications.


- Annual Completion and signing of Trade Ally (TA) Application on February 1st.
- Successful completion of applicable Computer-Based Trainings (CBTs) with a score of 80% or higher.
- Inclusion on OPPDs website Trade Ally List.
- Access to the Free Annual Trade Ally Summit
- Eligibility to apply for customer rebates and marketing materials.

Marketing and Training Resources
As a Trade Ally, leverage co-branded marketing materials and training resources to offer rebates and savings to your customers. To request materials or provide feedback, email BusinessRebates@oppd.com. When requesting materials, be sure to include your high-resolution logo, address and phone number.
Update Your Trade Ally Profile
Your profile can easily be updated with these 3 steps:
- Email (BusinessRebates@oppd.com) changes, which include updating company name, address, phone number, web address, email, adding new employees and removing past employees.
- An OPPD administrator will update the changes in the system and online.
- Check your information on OPPD.com to ensure updates are correct.
NOTE: New Trade Allies receive an exclusive account. If employment or email changes occur, the account is deactivated. Deactivated accounts restrict application submissions and access to past data. Contact us to transfer a deactivated account to an active one under the same parent company.
