It’s here—we’re hard at work exchanging our customers’ older meter models with smart meters. The new industry standard for utilities nationwide, smart meters allow you to take charge of your energy with tools that help you track usage and stay informed.
Need to reschedule your appointment?
If our technicians were unable to complete your meter exchange, please call 531-226-5909 once you’ve resolved the issue(s) preventing the installation. If we are unable to answer your call, leave a voicemail with your name, contact information and a convenient call-back time. We’ll get back to you by the end of the next business day.
If the technician indicated you need to make repairs to complete your exchange, please contact a local accredited electrical contractor to perform the work for you.
Project timeline
In late 2025, we will be soft launching new meters to a small group of customers, followed by full deployment to all customers by the end of 2028. All customers can expect to receive direct communications from OPPD starting 90 days before your expected installation date. Visit our project map to view which areas are scheduled for installation.
