Heat Pump/Cooling System Plus Coverage is an optional monthly protection plan from OPPD’s trusted partner HomeServe* (an independent company) for central forced-air conditioning or heat pump systems.
If your A/C or heat pump stops working properly, call HomeServe’s repair hotline at 1-866-277-3706 to schedule a covered repair with a local, licensed professional.
Covered repairs of failed parts due to normal wear and tear are paid directly to the contractor at no additional cost to you, up to $1,750 per 12-month term. Plan benefits also include an annual tune-up.

A plan covers one Heat Pump/Cooling system in your home. You may enroll in a plan for each system. If you only enroll in one plan, the plan covers the first system you make a service call for.
Please check with your insurance agent to determine if your Heat Pump/Cooling system and related materials are part of your homeowner’s insurance coverage. If covered, you may also want to consider the amount of the deductible you pay for any claim (often $500, $1,000 or more). Under Heat Pump/Cooling System Plus Coverage, there are no deductibles for a covered service. You only pay the monthly fee, and the service covers up to $1,750 per term.
The monthly fee will appear on your monthly OPPD statement.
Coverage applies to eligible devices that fail due to:
- Normal wear and tear
- Defects in materials or workmanship
A ductless heating and cooling system manufactured by Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Lennox, Daikin, Carrier, Trane or LG.

Coverage provides up to the plan’s benefit limit ($1,750 per annual term for the heating system).
If HomeServe determines that your system cannot be repaired, they will provide a pro-rata refund, less any benefits paid, provided or reimbursed by HomeServe for the current term.
Yes. Covered repairs include a 12-month repair guarantee.

There is no fee to make a service call. If you miss a scheduled service call, a “no show” fee and “call out charge” up to $250 will be applied to your benefit limit.
